Bargaining team reaches out to all colleges.

Members of our negotiations team have been crossing the province and meeting with faculty in all colleges over the last few weeks.  You can read a summary of the presentation by looking at a pdf of the slides they are showing and a video of JP in action.  Make sure to stay informed by speaking to your steward(s).  An informed vote will help us all.

Remember that a result over 50% voting to give our negotiating team a mandate to call a strike, if necessary, does not mean that there will be a strike.  The higher the vote for a strike the less likely it is that there will be one, as it will likely make our partners on the other side of the table more likely to negotiate in earnest.  This may seem counterintuitive.  In 2006 the results were just over 51% 'yes' and we went on strike.
